What uniforms do dental nurses wear in the UK?

What is the difference between a dental tunic and a dental scrub top?
A dental tunic is a structured, formal style typically worn by dental nurses and reception staff — featuring a mandarin or notch collar and concealed fastening. A dental scrub top is a more relaxed V-neck style offering greater freedom of movement, popular with dentists, hygienists and clinical dental technicians. Both styles are available in our dental uniforms range.
What colours are recommended for dental practice uniforms?
The most popular dental uniform colours in the UK are teal, pale blue, ceil blue, navy blue, royal blue, white and burgundy. Many dental practices choose a single colour for all clinical staff to create a unified appearance that builds patient trust. We can supply multiple roles within the same practice in complementary colours to clearly differentiate staff grades.
Can I add my dental practice logo or name to uniforms?
Yes. We offer professional in-house embroidery on all dental uniforms. Add your practice name, logo, staff names or job titles. Placement options include left chest, right chest and sleeve. One-off setup fee is £3.45 per design — never charged again on repeat orders. Minimum order is just one garment, suitable for small independent practices and large dental groups alike.
What fabric are your dental uniforms made from?
Our dental uniforms are available in three fabric constructions: Poly Cotton (195 GSM) — structured and durable for patient-facing dental nurses and reception staff. Four-Way Stretch (Polyester 71% / Rayon 22% / Spandex 7%, 195 GSM) — premium stretch for dentists and clinical staff needing greater freedom of movement. Mechanical Stretch (100% Polyester, 145–150 GSM) — lightest option, moisture-wicking. All washable at 40–60°C.
Are your dental uniforms CQC and infection control compliant?
Yes. Our dental uniforms are designed to meet the practical requirements of CQC-regulated dental environments. All fabrics can be washed at 60°C for infection control compliance, maintaining their colour, structure and professional appearance through repeated high-temperature washing. Our poly-cotton tunics are widely used by CQC-registered dental practices throughout the UK.

Yes. We supply independent dental practices, dental chains and large dental groups across the UK. Volume discounts start from 10 garments, increasing at 25, 50, 100 and 250+ units.
