Everything You Need to Know About Healthcare Uniforms
Can't find your answer below? Our UK-based team is available Monday–Friday 9am–5:30pm.
Are your healthcare uniforms suitable for NHS use?
Yes. Our healthcare uniforms are worn daily by staff across NHS trusts, hospitals, GP surgeries, dental clinics and care homes throughout the UK. Our scrub tunics and nurse uniforms meet the professional standards required for clinical environments and are produced from durable, easy-care fabrics designed for demanding healthcare settings. We supply over 100 NHS trusts and healthcare organisations across the UK.
What fabric are your medical scrubs made from?
Our healthcare scrubs and tunics are available in three distinct fabric constructions:
Poly Cotton (195 GSM) — our classic scrub and tunic range. Durable, breathable and holds its shape and colour through repeated washing. Ideal for everyday clinical use across wards, clinics and care settings.
Four-Way Stretch (Polyester 71% / Rayon 22% / Spandex 7%, 195 GSM) — our premium stretch range offering full freedom of movement in every direction. Soft, lightweight and exceptionally comfortable for long shifts requiring physical activity.
Mechanical Stretch (100% Polyester, 145–150 GSM) — our lightest and most flexible fabric. True mechanical stretch without added elastane — moisture-wicking, quick-drying and ideal for high-movement clinical roles.
Full fabric details are listed on each individual product page.
How quickly will my healthcare uniforms be delivered?
Plain stock healthcare uniforms are dispatched within 1–3 working days from our Stevenage warehouse to addresses across the UK. Custom embroidered orders are dispatched within 5–7 working days from artwork approval. Free UK delivery is available on qualifying orders over £150. We deliver to the whole of the UK including England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Can I add my clinic or hospital logo to the uniforms?
Yes. We offer professional in-house embroidery on all our healthcare uniforms. You can add your clinic name, hospital trust logo, department name or individual name badges. Standard placement options include left chest, right chest, sleeve and back. Our one-off embroidery setup fee is £3.45 per design — never charged again on future orders. Minimum order for embroidery is just one garment.
What sizes are available for your healthcare scrubs and tunics?
Our healthcare uniforms are available in a full inclusive size range from XS through to 5XL. We offer both unisex straight-cut styles and women's shaped-cut styles. Our unisex scrubs feature a relaxed straight cut suitable for all body types, while our women's range features shaped side seams and front panel shaping for a more tailored professional fit. Size guides are available on each product page.
How do I wash and care for medical scrubs?
Our medical scrubs are machine washable at 40°C for standard care, or 60°C for infection control requirements in clinical environments. We recommend washing inside out to preserve colour. Do not tumble dry on high heat — low heat or line dry recommended. Our fabrics are designed to withstand frequent high-temperature washing without shrinking or colour fading.
Do you offer bulk discounts for NHS trusts and healthcare organisations?
Yes. We offer transparent tiered volume discounts starting from as few as 10 garments, with increasing savings at 25, 50, 100 and 250+ unit thresholds. For NHS trusts, hospital groups, care home networks and large healthcare organisations requiring ongoing uniform supply contracts, we offer bespoke corporate pricing. What is the difference between a scrub tunic and a scrub top?
A scrub tunic is typically longer — finishing at hip to mid-thigh — with a more structured cut and side vents, popular with nurses and healthcare assistants. A scrub top is generally shorter with a relaxed V-neck cut, the standard choice for doctors and theatre staff. Both styles are available in our range in a full size range and multiple colourways.
